The Leave Policy of an employee may need to be revaluated for various reasons. Two main occasions when the leave policy needs to be revaluated are as follows:
- If an employee’s profile is edited: Leave types are created based on multiple configurations and are allocated to employees based on their profile. For example, leave types can be based on Department, Gender, and Employee Type. If changes are made to an employee’s profile, such as their department or employee type (e.g., from Probation to Permanent), the employee should have a new leave policy. Therefore, after the employee profile is edited, the admin should revaluate the leave policy for this employee. After the policy is revaluated, the leave type and balance will be updated for the employee based on his updated profile.
- After customizing the policy of an employee, if you want to reset it: Leave Policy can be customized for specific employees based on preferences. If you want to reset their leave policy to the actual leave type policy, then you need to revaluate their Leave Policy.
To Revaluate the Leave Policy of an employee, you need to take the following steps:
- Click on ‘Leave’ from the left menu.
- Select ‘Settings’ and then ‘Customize Policy’.
Select the employee for whom you want to Revaluate the leave policy.
Click the ‘Revaluate Policy’ button to revaluate the leave policy of the selected employee.
